Tbh Palantir is basically the exact opposite of AI LLM hallucination. Comparing it with ai hallucinations is doing the world a very big disservice and is playing down their systems a lot.
Palantir is a data aggregator of enormous proportions that is actually very good at visualising this data. From a Big data analyser it’s impressive. It’s so good it reduces a living being to data points and nothing more. It is so good at this that it can track when to kill your family when you are home, because your home is way less secure than your office and they employe this in the Gaza genocide for example.
It is very likely, that a wrong intelligence report is way more to blame for this or that it analysed that one of the children’s dad was a value target. The report was just wrong so the dad wasn’t there. The children’s are calculated collaterals to reduce moral in this systems and this is part of their press material btw.

So the AI did not make a decision. The AI has no authority nor ability to launch missiles (yet). Someone, one or more human beings did, and I use the term loosely. Those humans took the information that was fed to them by an AI, failed to verify the accuracy of the information despite it being common knowledge that AIs frequently hallucinate and make stuff up, and then proceeded to launch the attack.
In summary, it wasn’t the AI. One or more people took the advice of an AI and negligently murdered 123 little girls.
