this is excellent news!

make james cameron again

i work in tv animation mostly. i worked on scavengers reign, for example.

the leads of a project should be held accountable for how things are made though. if you hire a firm, and you don’t want them to use ai, you better put that shit in the contract. audiences want disclosure of how stuff is made. nobody wants to pay their hard earned money if it’s fake/stolen work

im an artist and i wouldn’t use gen ai to make a background texture. there’s tons of free textures, and if all else fails i can a) paint it myself or b) go take a photo

I’m an artist and I use photoshop but I’d never use gen ai

guess im not watching this slop. why would we pay for stolen work?

ofr? spiderman is a class traitor now i guess lol

I’m surprised to see classic films so high on this list, but there’s so many more people in the world today, so it’s unsurprising to see modern movies at the top https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_by_box_office_admissions

i dont find movie tickets outside of big cities to be much more expensive. if anything, they’re increasing slower than streaming costs.

rich heroes are less relatable lol

theaters are keeping the good movies longer before they go to streaming, partially because the movie studios are having cashflow issues and theaters are a great way to … (checks notes)… make money!

I feel like this has more to do with people craving a theatrical experience, plus streaming movies kind of suck lately (more than Spiderman in particular being such a good movie)

samezies

yeah my job uses an adobe workflow. i use krita for my personal work, i prefer it for painting and animation

so tons of people are still running really old macs i guess?

need money for place to sleep. although considering getting an rv

my friend did this too. i used to do door to door canvassing, it’s def hard on the body
KJAZ is my only radio station lately
