@cypherpunks@lemmy.ml do you need help? It looks like you are the only one who’s active on lemmy

, e.g. @cypherpunks@lemmy.mlSeems fine with anarchy to me
There has been one mod action so far today and three others in the last week.
I don’t feel like !linux@lemmy.ml has a problem with spam/reposts, at least with the current users. If lemmy got more popular this might change, but as long as the current mods do action unwanted posts, I think we’re okay.
Without account-wide karma on lemmy, hopefully we’ll avoid the karma farming known from reddit. At least I want to believe others also post what they think this community might interest, without other selfish reasons.
I personally try to only post likns on topics not already discussed previously, and I think I do a good job with it. As someone who didn’t post on reddit (besides commenting), I want to encourage people to look whether an interesting article/topic was posted recently and post it if not. I want this community to thrive, which includes avoiding depending on only a few people. Just my 2 cents.
Anarchy doesn’t mean the absence of moderation.
Um, doesn’t it? Isn’t that what anarchy is?
The anarchist library in web is a good source
No, its not. But it is a common misconception because the media is terrible. I recommend reading some books on Anarchy.
I’m good
Ok but dont spread misinformation then
Anarchy is when somalian pirates.
Never give power to those who seek it.
oh yeah it’s getting personal now
I don’t know about the other two mods here but I heard @AgreeableLandscape@lemmy.ml plans to return from hiatus eventually.
I’ve done most most of the mod actions here in the last year, first as an admin but eventually I was added as a mod in this community too because there was a bug (fixed in 0.19) which prevented admins’ mod actions from federating (and there were some egregious posts which kept getting remote reports).
Thanks for the offer of help @beta_tester@lemmy.ml but I think the other admins and I (who are all longtime Linux users) are doing OK moderating this community. Also I see that yesterday you re-posted something immediately after it was deleted, with a title referencing its deletion 😦
If you see something that should be deleted, please do flag it, and if you’re unhappy with mod actions you can always message a mod or ask about it in /c/meta@lemmy.ml
huh, agreeablelandscape used to be hella active
Big Landscaping finally tracked him down and bushed him
@cypherpunks@lemmy.ml should summon the guy to read this…
They’ll only get notified if you @ notify them in a comment.
