Part of the problem is that when you work with children there’s always a moment that makes you consider it. When 3 or 4 are going off on one at the same time there’s just a second where it comes to mind before you dismiss it as unreasonable.
When you’re low paid and have shitty management those times tend to be a lot more common and you have fewer tools to deal with them. Eventually, when you run out of reasonable alternatives, it starts to look a lot less unreasonable.when you work with children there’s always a moment that makes you consider it

You get to know what’s a real “I’m hurt really bad” cry from “I’m scared” or “I didn’t get what I want” etc. for your kids.

The cries are very different, so are the barks of a dog. But that’s something you learn with time. I understand my kids and my dog perfectly, at the same time I have no idea what other kids or dogs try to say. A communication form that is uniquely shaped in the family.
