I think I can handle the ads part, but the ‘lighter’ part, thats a good one.

Serious question: Why can you handle the ads? I’m serious. Why do you accept that something you have purchased, something you own, should be pushing ads at you? Broadcast services makes some sense, they have to make money somewhere. But something you bought? Why?

Not just about delivering ads but also to track your browsing history across different sites and devices. This is why their installing flock camera alprs to capture your device signal and correlate it with things like Bluetooth headphones, smart watch, even your tire pressure monitoring system. Basically anything with RF signals.
Its called ELSAG Signal Trace and their everywhere now for use by law enforcement.
