Yandex is just web crawlers like the ones Google and many other companies have. Perhaps that server housed their bot farm shit too but who knows. The drop in Yandex crawling is proven with data, but the rest of this is just speculation and assumptions based on perception. It’s anecdotal.
People on Lemmy, being mostly Americans and EU, hate Russia because of their nationalist propaganda so they’ll spread disinformation to fuel that bias confirmation.
Just like there are reasons to hate the US and the EU, thank you. What is your reason? Your government made you afraid of a Ukrainian civil war that affected mostly people who are ethnically Russian?
The US just attacked the country I am from for no reason and killed almost 10k innocent people and threatens to invade the country I live in. You have no moral standing.
It’s stupid because it blinds people to the fact that Russians are working class just like we are, and just like Ukrainians are. Lumping them altogether with their shitty leadership and governments is not ideal.
Yeah, from my perspective as someone who lives in a region that the US regularly threatens to invade because of drug dealers that come from and sell to the USA, I don’t see any real difference between the US or Russian governments either in terms of sanity, corruption, authoritarian tendency, or violence projection. I also believe that if the Russians have so many “bot farms” than the US probably has double the amount.
