Hotel breakfast is mediocre at best unless you’re in an Embassy, a Garden Inn, or a Doubletree- those places prepare you fresh food. I’ve had some good experiences at Residence Inn as well, won’t complain about them either. It’s just that after you stay in a hotel for 46 weeks in a year for work, it gets kind of old pretty quickly- no matter how nice the hotel may be.

they definitely didn’t stay at a Hilton property, sounds like they caught a night at a Red Roof Inn or similar. I’ve never stayed at a Hilton that didn’t have breakfast service in the morning.

can confirm that it works well, however ease of use typically keeps me off of the vpn for my quest 3. it does occasionally glitch out a bit since newer hotel networks are usually dualband so you’ll have to manually set the beryl to only accept 5ghz otherwise it’ll frequently deauth. I’ve noticed that sometimes it’ll also deauth if there’s another beryl on the same network. It’s kind of like playing whack a mole with deauthing.

I already use a glinet beryl ax for all my hotel stays- they’re typically 8 weeks at a time so it’s important for me to be able to isolate myself from their standard network.

Well, considering that even their premium wifi will usually only get about 29 Mbps down at the high end, it won’t be super effective.

It’s still schengen rules, so if you take a train the likelihood of being stopped at the border is pretty low. Austria may have border agents board the train and verify passports, but that’s still pretty uncommon in Europe.
