Sorry, why would you use this app if you only use the messaging part? Not sure why you call it p2p, the media you transmit is likely sent to Snapchat servers before it arrives at the other person.

I mean that’s just regular banter.

I don’t think this is at all “to their credit”. It will still get shutdown, who cares if everyone can play it for free until then? It will be gone for good unless someone hacks/copies/pirates the server.

Ah, the land of the free.
Was probably 3 days of a manager asking engineers to do it then 20sec of work done at the end of the
End of the what?

To add to that, at least the average meeting I am in, people don’t look much at the chat. The meeting organiser might, but that is also not happening too frequently.

It shouldn’t

You are right but just as the original commenter said, even if you pay there is no way to be sure the app you just paid for isn’t harvesting and selling your sweet sweet usage data. Like Tiktok I’d imagine would 100% do.
I am at a point where I’d really like to support and pay for apps, even closed source ones, just so they don’t show me ads or harvest my data. Open source is much better at that, of course.

Handling with class? They just tried to get away with something that clearly doesn’t work that way. You don’t make a product based on a known franchise without contacting the franchise owner about it.

Also Sweeney “why do people like Steam more than the Epic store?”
Just looked me dead in the eye and?

Of course chatbot use is rising when every shitty website replaced their support pages with one. What else can I do but use the stupid chatbot?

You don’t, my wife bought one for me and she does not use Steam. However I don’t think she got a code but instead gave my email address and I got sent the code to use. No idea if there are other options for this though.

“Millions”, just how many subscribers in total do they have?

Wrong gog

Controversial opinion and I say that as someone who started with Jellyfin and keeps that local Wifi only, so I admit a certain bias: going with Tailscale and Jellyfin over using Plex isn’t much better. Instead of enabling remote access via one company that wants to make money, you go via another company that wants to make money. How long is the free tier of Tailscale going to work out? How much do you trust them with your traffic? But I know it is a popular setup, so I am aware saying that here will not earn me any points.
I feel for the first reason! I was able to switch with my wife from Whatsapp to Signal but thats about as much as is possible. And we both have to still use Whatsapp because of others.
