That’s climate change for you. The extremes become more extreme, the weather can fluctuate near daily, and you can have events exactly like you described.

Yep, same here. The smoke was so bad there for a while, I’m glad that has subsided.
When I look at the weather app on my phone and it tells me of an “excessive heat warning”…. Yeah.
The FTC hasn’t had a spine in decades, I doubt anything will come of this. It would be nice for once if the government actually gave a shit about monopoly busting, but they don’t care anymore. Not when corporations are legally allowed to bribe the ones making legislation, oh and also companies can be people now
It would take millions, if not billions of people to band together and make drastic changes for there to be any measurable difference. The largest offenders are all mega corporations that simply put quarterly profits over ensuring their impact on the planet is minimal. Without those corporations changing their business models permanently, no individuals lifestyle choices will ever matter more than a small fraction of a percentage point.
Hasn’t this been known about for decades at this point that with less and less polar ice the ocean currents will be less and less effective? But as per usual when it comes to climate change, no one that could make an actual difference gave a shit, so now we’re seeing what scientists have warned about for decades. It fucking sucks having to be here, seeing all of this transpire, knowing that you’re helpless to stop it
Autistic person here, yeah I can’t read tone for shit through text sometimes, and especially online you never can tell if and when someone’s being serious.
Ah yeah they should’ve just done the American thing instead and bulldozed the whole strip of town to put in a 20 lane wide interstate with a Bucees and Walmart/s
This heatwave is FAKE NEWS buddy why is it going to almost hit 100 today in New England
