He’s pretty much embraced this. It’s kind of funny. His network ad reads for other CBS shows are literally “[name of show], watch it or don’t, I don’t care. I leave in may” lol

I used to run a small electronics repair business and you are 1 billion percent correct. Slowly watching things over the years become unrepairable was just such an obvious business decision for profit over customer satisfaction. There is absolutely no reason to make those changes unless you have a profit driven motive. So so so many electronics used to be like the fairphone your mom has. Pop it open, take out what’s broke, replace it with some OEM or 3rd party part you bought for like 2 dollars and you’re all set. It’s so frustrating nowadays with how purposefully difficult manufacturers make any repairability. Can’t even change a damn battery in your phone now! lol

It’s all about mic placement. Ive had the good fortune to play sports on live tv in front of large crowds a good amount and it’s not uncommon at all for the crowd sound on the broadcast to be way different than in person. That being said, I’d bet there’s a different broadcast from a different country where you can totally hear the boos.

Earlier than that it’s absolutely insane that anyone believes anything this dunce says now.
Yes. BUT there are certain ways a government can help its citizens (and itself in most cases) by allowing them to be self sufficient that has nothing to do with electric companies or monopolies at all. The subsidies for solar panels were a great example of this. Depending on your personal needs, you could generate enough power to take yourself off the grid, and the government invested in your panels by way of those subsidies. In many cases the extra electricity from the panels that you don’t use can go back into a grid to be used by someone else. Theoretically helping you and the government. There are, of course some issues with the system but speaking from experience it can absolutely work and work wonderfully.
Unfortunately Trump (of course) has killed these subsidies so that will not be a thing as of new years 2026.

The full presentation is 10x weirder. He says the robots will eliminate poverty and provide universal health care. In fact, he says the only way we can get universal health care is with optimus robots. He also says that with optimus robots we don’t need prisons. We just have an optimus robot follow criminals around and it will stop them from commiting crimes.
He also sounds like a 5th grader nervously stumbling through a speech to their class about Luis and Clark.
That guy’s Instagram is like an antidepressant lol.
The fact that it’s a picture of Jessica Simpson from the movie Private Valentine should tip some people off. Oddly enough they photoshopped the pic to change her name from Valentine to Lena and added nips lol

I get what you’re saying and you’re definitely right. I don’t side load things all that much but the times I have was because there was no other viable way to get what I needed and it worked amazingly well (not to mention testing something before it’s available on the app store).
It’s one of those things like a fire extinguisher that you might not need but you are very grateful it’s there just in case you ever do.

Plus it’s not even real. It snowed just last winter.
Lol I thought the first thing. Tien is my boy but he ain’t got it like that unfortunately.
Dang so it sounds like new Zealand has had a bit of a time with housing for a while then huh? I’ve heard a lot about it recently but just assumed it was a relatively new probably (post 2000-ish)
Fyi $650 in 1976 is about $3600-3700 adjusted for inflation.
I used to live in a town that did something very similar to this. It sorta worked but mostly did not. But as another commenter pointed out you need more than just homes. Obviously they help a ton but a lot of people need more help than just a roof over their head. Financially, medically, mentally, employment… It’s a bigger, more complicated problem.
But it goes without saying that this is a step in the right direction and absolutely better than collectively shrugging our shoulders and walking away.
I choose to believe these are just very very small people

Anybody that doesn’t already realize this absolutely will not give a shit what this says anyways lol.

Yeah I’m pretty much in the same boat. I just go online now for all my shoes. In the before times when I had to go in person it sucked, they’d have my size in like one or two shoes, there was no picking at all. But online there’s a waaaay bigger selection obviously. Sucks that you can’t try stuff on but once you get familiar with brands they all kinda for similar enough
That’s so sad but 16 years is a hell of a run! Lots of memories in there for sure.
They are among the stupidest movies ever created without a doubt. And I absolutely adore them 😄
