You think that’s bad, you should take a gander at the official news sources in Jacksonville Florida. I don’t know if they’re still this bad, but as I recall they have not one, but at least two big news publications, both produce articles that look like they were written by grade schoolers. Anything that wasn’t copy/pasted from the AP seems to be written hastily by somebody who dropped out before understanding English. I’m sure many other cities have the same issue. The one is called news five or Jax 5 news, and the other is first coast news. They’ll hire anybody to write apparently.

This should cover their asses on that big lawsuit they just lost for harassing that poor old couple. Projected profits would be down ~$300m over the period of time they intended to pay this out, I assume, not much of a mathematician. Gross.

I sense some mighty strong projection going on here. The writer comes off like they believe they’re correct without the need for any question, completely sure of this idea, for which they provide zero evidence. They then go on to call anyone who disagrees with them ignorant, infantilising and diminishing the opposing point of view before the reader has had a moment to make up their own mind. Meanwhile, the intended audience is being spoon-fed hate and gobbling it up. This is what division looks like. They make you hate your neighbors and demand action from you against them, after all it’s what’s right: you’re a grown up and the opposition needs to be parented. This is the tone that makes sure you never gain power, because you don’t believe in moderates, and you downright hate progressives.

Aren’t Linux people usually programmers anyway? Why develop for developers?

This is so emblematic of the human condition. Poisoning ourselves to relieve stress, buying slave-made clothes to stay warm. Burning our skin to attract mates. Toxifying our own environment for convenience. Humans really are some dumb ass creatures. We are reaping what we sow.

I don’t know how it is everywhere, but in multiple areas I’ve lived, you can’t just build your own house anymore. You either go outside of city limits and pay to get utilities out there, pull permits, the whole nine, or you buy a premade piece of crap cookie cutter house in the city, which usually comes with some form of HOA. Unless you got big bucks, most people simply can’t afford a house outside of an HOA of some kind anymore.

I dunno, that’s pretty subjective really. I’ve seen people who do hard stuff like heroin and meth just straight up quit after using shrooms once, having had an epiphany that they need to live cleaner. Then I’ve seen a young guy stay awake for days talking about how he found the secret to never dying, because he realized sleep is a conspiracy… So maybe you’re right, I dunno lol.

If you let them know their bullying is getting to you, they’ll only continue and increase their torment. You might need to grow a thick skin to get through living with them, but try not to let that harden you to the world too much in the process. They may be physically stronger than you, but that shouldn’t stop you from becoming your best self. Not for them; but for yourself.

I mean, they do though? I’m totally against that, but hear me out: if we infiltrated for instance, and tried to do the opposite approach of only screwing the shareholders while providing maximum value to workers and consumers, we wouldn’t last long enough to bring it to a vote at the corrupted board. If you don’t provide a solid plan on how you’re gonna fuck consumers in the coming quarter, they won’t even let you stay on as CEO. It’s literally not possible to do good in this system, you can either not participate and keep getting fucked as consumers/workers, or you can trade class and provide value for shareholders, there is no in between anymore. The only option that will change this without another Teddy, is revolution. Hopefully a peaceful one.

It’s more obvious than that even; their SEC paperwork states that adblockers are a risk to their profits. That’s more than enough info to assume they’re going to go to war in the near future (now) with them.
