Just call me a scissor sister
The weird hand-weapon is my favorite part of the Scissor
Thank you for your service in spreading the gospel of the scissors sisters.
Nets are underappreciated as a weapon
Net and trident are top tier combo
Don’t forget to file your Trax return… turns out you owe.
The IRS (Internal Roman Service) is feared once more
The Murmillo has the coolest hat, but i’d put my money on Retiarius. Honorable mention to ol’ Scissor, whose legacy persists to this very day in offices, classrooms, and first aid kits.
Little known fact: the original saying is “don’t run ON THE LEFT with Scissors”
Scissor for sure
Scissor just has such an inhuman look to him. It’s cool as fuck.
The Sexicutor, maybe?
The Sexicutor is a terrible gladiator. Because he ALWAYS goes down!
[crickets]
I’ll see myself out, no need to throw rotten fruit
Hoplomachus seems like a flexible fighting style I guess?
Hoplomachus gonna pull out break dance fighting moves and catch you upside the head with those shin guards
IRL… I would have been Secutor.
Dance around all you’d like, I’ll wait patiently before bulldozing… and pray I never meet a bigger bulldozer.
I dunno, I feel like you’d get really warm in all that.
The Murmillo has the advantage of feeling the breeze.
And a cool hat.

Retiarius looks like he pulled out somebody’s weave and thats fucked up.
Retiarius fr fr
Do trax, murmillo and secutor have any differing fighting styles, or is it just a hat competition?
Yes for the Trax/Thraex. He has a small curved blade that can reach around an opponent’s shield, and a smaller shield.
For the Murmillo and Secutor, it’s a hat competition. Secutors were usually pitted against Reitiarii - the small eyeholes in the helmet were to keep the trident, specifically, out, and the helmet had fewer features to make it harder to net.
I dig the Murmillo more, personally. The helmet has, as the Romans would say, gravitas!
