Might just be where I am in Australia or my age bracket that means I never hear the former. I’ve definitely heard the latter when folks are playing up their Australian mannerisms or are just taking the piss.
Yeah I feel you, like it’s not hugely used so much these days but chockas or chockabloc is definitely used around NSW. Reckon it’ll see extinction in the next generation or so though.
I honestly don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone actually use the terms “strewth” or “chockas” before
Chockas is still somewhat used, strewth is if you’re doing an disingenuous these days

Chocka/chockabloc is pretty common where I grew up, West Midlands in UK
