Last night’s din din. Not from Spain, but goddang this was good. With the soccarat and everything👌
Just fyi, it’s “socarrat”
Waiting for the spanish to come point out you can’t mix seafood and meat in a real paella.
My Spanish grandma always mixes seafood and meat in her paella
Nah, looks good
That looks absolutely amazing. I’m actually jelly.
Looks tasty but I’m confused - isn’t paella a rice dish? This looks more like marinara sauce.
If you zoom in there is plenty of rice there. It is a lot darker than other paella I’ve seen before but does look nom.
What are the white things?
Something like very large lima beans. I forget what they called them in Valencia…
I’m pretty sure it’s drops if something like aioli. Beans usually don’t have these pointy tops
Definitely aioli. Those would be about 2" in diameter. Even the gigante bean, the world’s largest bean, isn’t that large.
You’re right now that I zoom in. The Valencian version does have some sort of lima, but that isn’t what this is.
It’s a shame though. They could be as a god on Lemmy if they did have beans that size.
looks good👍
