I really like both Escapes, and objectively NY is probably the better movie, but, unpopular opinion, I actually prefer LA. It’s so outrageously off the wall bonkers, yeah, zero fucks and glorious with it. Welcome to the human race.
NY is the real movie. LA is Carpenter doing 25th hour 5 minutes of hate bit with fuck this and fuck that at movie length. it is majestic at that. too bad we never got mad max snake escape from earth after that glorious finale
Still want Escape From Earth, might even be better with an aged Kurt Russell.
