Universal Pictures spent nearly seven months trying to sell the M3GAN spinoff Soulm8te to another studio. No one bought it. So the film arrives today, August…
yes, last year. but its vastly different from the first film. it was literally another “terminator film”. where the megan is t800, and the new "android is t1000-x or whatever trying to achieve “godhood” and take over the world by absorbing a “tech with all the knowledge”
It was okay, but it flopped hard because they randomly decided to do a genre change.
If you liked the first one, there is no real carry over besides like “oh these are the characters we know”
It tries to be witty and humorous at times, sometimes its clever but it ends up just being kind of an average action/thriller movie–but that is a big negative when people expected a good horror movie.
It’s a shame because the first made such a return on investment that the second one had an increased budget but the creative decisions kind of doomed it.
Anyone watch it yet? Lol
I watched it today. It wasn’t that bad. i thought it was better then M3GAN 2.0. Not that that is a high bar to cross.
There was a M3gan 2.0??
What are they gonna call the next one? M3G3N?
Too Meg too Gan
