From Jen Marie
This was a scene I’d wanted to capture for a very long time - a great-horned owl nesting in a saguaro cactus.
The hot sun was beating down, and as I watched her position herself to take the most advantage of the breeze, I noticed what I like to call the baby owl wiggle. Even though all the passersby didn’t know of any babies yet, I could see movement under her wings. I waited a bit, and sure enough, a little one popped out for a few seconds, took a big yawn, then went back under mom for protection from the sun.
