Owls don’t have a reliable way to determine gender visually. Genetic testing, dissection 😧, or witnessing it lay an egg are the only ways to know.
It still feels crazy to me that in 2 months they go from an egg to being out on their own. The parents will still coach them through the first year, but other than that, it’s good luck, kid.
