Female Eastern screech owl (Megascops asio) staring down at me
I was doing some native wildflower landscaping under the tree she was nesting in and apparently making too much noise. I heard her moving around inside the nest box and looked up to the most evil glare I ever did see.
A quick cell shot and I did my groundskeeping somewhere else for a little while

Was gonna say the tree in your yard has a suspiciously Minecraft-like shape, but I see now that I somehow missed the word “box” in your description. Still thought it amusing enough to share.
