He wasn’t necessarily as much of a strategic genius as Napoleon (AFAIK Alexander’s father or one of his underlings invented and implementend the system of warfare that Alexander was using, and the system itself was mostly fairly straightforward), but how many rulers were part of the vanguard of their forces with this much success?
