Because women hate each other more than men do. That’s why prosecutors always try to get as many women possible on a jury for rape cases since they usually blame the woman.

I learned about this several years ago when I wandered in to the Berkeley Historical Society when they were highlighting the women’s sufferage movement. They had their archival boxes of documents out to peruse directly, and I was shocked by all the flyers for anti-sufferage meetings and parties organized by the society women of Berkeley.
As I learned later, it wasn’t much before 1920 that sufferage reached majority support among women.
