Drop Duchy 18.0 hrs last two weeks / 33.5 hrs on record

Deckbuilder, Tetris style-puzzle, and rogue-lite game. Gameplay is like Tetris but you get building cards which translate into tiles. When placed the tiles provide resources, armies, or somehow affect the tiles around them. Between rounds you can upgrade cards to improve or change their functions. There are achievement milestones which reward progression points that can be spent to unlock new cards, new decks, or otherwise provide boosts to make future runs more successful.

Car mechanic simulator 2021. Good for zenning out with a podcast and it has taught me a tiny bit about cars (I know nothing about them). 🙂

Honestly one of my favorite games. If you have an opportunity to play cms 2015 give it a go. It’s just as good.

With the new fantasy life game releasing, I’ve started playing through the original 3ds game

I was worried it might not hold up well to modern standards, but no, it’s even better than I remember

I refreshed and hacked my N3ds XL recently and have been playing a ton of classics. A few:

    • Pokémon HeartGold
    • Mario Kart 7
    • Shinobi
    • Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX
    • New Super Mario Bros 2

Getting Pretendo setup has been fun. I can play MK7 online again and there’s always people playing!

I started a HG/SS Nuzlocke recently–first time I’ve done one–and ran into the same trouble I always do on hardcore/high-risk runs: as soon as it starts to get easy or too predictable, I completely lose interest.

Miss that era of Pokémon something fierce, though.

I’m still playing lots on my Miyoo handheld and think its amazing. Mostly GBA and Mega Drive stuff.

I did buy Robocop: Rogue City yesterday so tonight I’m going to watch the movie and then play on the weekend. I’ve heard very good things so really looking forward to it.

DayZ. I was hosting a heavily modded server but it became less fun. Spun up a new one that’s pretty vanilla with a few basic mods and we’re enjoying it so far.

Just started Avowed (slightly patient, I guess?). I didn’t love it at first, but I’m starting to really like it. It’s much more story heavy than I expected. Combat was really difficult at first, and I lost almost every fight once I got to Paradis. Now that I’m level 6, I win most fight easily. 🤷

The magic casting with a wand and a grimoire feels super cool. They really nailed that.

I finished the main quest of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom over the weekend, and found most of the collectables. I decided to use a guide to get the last few and was really pleased with myself at how few I hadn’t found on my own. This is the first game in a long time that I just sat down and enjoyed without any guides or looking anything up on the internet, and it was an absolutely amazing experience.

After that I started on Skyward Sword HD, another Zelda title that I have never played before. I’m still not sure about the controller controls but I’ve made it through the first dungeon and I have enjoyed it so far. I might give the Switch motion controls a try and see if they feel more natural, and I might also boot it up on my modded Wii just to compare; I feel like the Wiimote would feel more sword-like in my hands 🤔

Skyward Sword was a weird one for me. The motion controls drove me nuts almost all the time, except when they didn’t and I was having a blast. Unfortunately, that wasn’t super often, and when I finally did get into a groove, it was the very end of the game. The final boss felt really good. But then it was over.

The third dungeon is also one of my favorites in the series and the story has one of my favorite Zeldas (the character) in the series, too. At the same time, there were also large stretches I hated. So many ups and downs for me.

I personally prefered motion controls since i got canera control that way. But i was never capable of doing the precice motions the game asked of me. But finding workarounds was fun in its own way
