I’ll check out that list, thank you.

I’d definitely say to either go Emerald or HG/SS next. I’d say those are the two peaks of the series.
For Gens 1 and 2, honestly they’re pretty rough these days. I like them but I don’t think someone just entering the series now will enjoy them much. They’re super janky and are missing a lot of features. Gen 2 is my favourite (hence HGSS being my favourite games as they’re just the Gen 2 remakes) but they’re not easy to get into these days. After Gen 4 the series goes a little downhill imo but it’s still good. I have no experience past Gen 7 though as I don’t have a switch and haven’t learned how to emulate one yet.

I really enjoyed reading your comment, I like your writing style. Even though I can’t relate to any of the games you mentioned I still had fun reading it anyway. And your paragraph dividers are neat. Haven’t seen that used before.
What movies have you been watching? I’ve been wanting to get more into old sci-fi movies.

How are you liking Pokemon Platinum? I find Gen 4 tends to be either loved or not cared for depending on the person. I personally loved those games, though HeartGold/SoulSilver is my all time favourite.

Huh, this actually looks really neat. Seems there’s a demo, I might have to check it out.
That’s a really neat carpet. Any chance you’ve got a pic of the whole thing? I like the design.

Which will then probably tell you that it conflicts with
vulkan-mesa-device-selectand asks if you want to replace it. Which might either work or just get you another conflict becausevulkan-mesa-device-selectis required by some other package.
Yeah, basically. This was my result:
sudo pacman -S vulkan-mesa-implicit-layers
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...
:: vulkan-mesa-implicit-layers-1:25.3.5-2 and vulkan-mesa-device-select-1:25.2.6-2 are in conflict. Remove vulkan-mesa-device-select? [y/N] y
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: removing vulkan-mesa-device-select breaks dependency 'vulkan-mesa-device-select' required by lib32-vulkan-mesa-device-select

Btw… pacman -Qi <package name> usually tells you anything you need to know about a package. In this context mainly why it was installed (as a requirement for which package) and which other packages are required as a dependency.
So maybe you should take one step back first. Check why 'vulkan-mesa-device-select` was installed in the first place.
Okay so I tried that and got:
pacman -Qi vulkan-mesa-device-select

Seems it’s necessary, so I tried sudo pacman -S vulkan-mesa-device-select and it gave me no trouble, so then I ran sudo pacman -Syu and after just under 10 minutes everything updated! Seems to work again. Thank you very much for the help, I really do appreciate it.

Answering “n” gives me the same error still. Same with if I say no for both questions. In fact, any combination will always result in the same error.
Probably a dumb question but how would I go about installing vulcan-mesa-implicit-layers?

I tried that one too and it gave me the same error.

Thanks for all the info. I tried manually replacing the mirrorlist but I’m still getting the same warnings and errors. I also tried -Syyu but still no dice.
What was this you were saying about keyfile? That doesn’t seem to be something I’m familiar with.

Yeah, that’s the one. If you can find it for cheap I’d say go for it. It’s a bit shorter and the map is a bit smaller which I personally liked, and it had some gameplay aspects I preferred, but they’re close for me.

Have you tried AC: Origins? Similar gameplay. Most people would probably say Odyssey was the better game of the two but they’re pretty close. I personally preferred Origins but liked them both.

I know a lot of people who hate watching just part of a movie. I’m one of those people too, though I also don’t really like tv shows normally. I’d rather a standalone film over one in a series as well. If I’m going to watch something, I want it to start and end in the same sitting, and ideally be 90-120 minutes, though there are exceptions of course.

People tend to be more willing to do a lot of something if it’s broken up into smaller parts.
As an example, my great-grandmother used to always cut desserts and appetizers into smaller sizes if she noticed they weren’t being eaten. No one would take a large slice of cake but lots of people would take a small slice and then another small slice after. My grandmother took that advice from her and so did my mom, and it really does work very well. Same applies to movies and tv shows.
My wife trained one of our cats to play fetch just a few days ago! She absolutely loves it now (the cat, not my wife. Though my wife does still have fun with it).
Finally someone else who agrees with me on this. I love Liquid Glass and I thought I was the only one. Nice to see someone else feels the same way.

I feel that, I haven’t had time to play a game in over a month.

Elden Ring is probably my favourite game ever. It’s got some tight competition but whenever someone asks me what my absolute favourite game ever is, I default to Elden Ring.
I can’t speak for Walmart but I can confirm other grocery stores do that. Whatever doesn’t sell gets chilled for the following day.
