- This could be said by a us president today not by accident and probably not even make the news. - Nah, people would be ecstatic to hear a US president say that today Edit: except maybe the Poles - True. The masses really would. . I’d prefer to never hear from him again though.

- Then there was sthe Dutch PM who said to the American people that he fucks horses instead of saying breeds horses. - Luns: I fokk (breed) horses - Kennedy: Pardon? - Luns: Yes, paarden (horses)

- “I am a jelly donut.” - — President John F. Kennedy Jr. - Is there a way to say you’re a “Berliner” or can you only say “from Berlin”? - That’s technically what he said, but a donut called krapfen is also very commonly called a Berliner. I am from Berlin (Ich komme aus Berlin) is the more common way to say it. - So he wasn’t really wrong, so much as it was funny colloquially. - Actually there are many words for this specific German kind of donut. Krapfen is common, where I live it’s Kreppel. Since it’s arguably the Berlin way of pancake (Berliner Pfannkuchen), in Berlin it’s just called Pfannkuchen and in some spaces it’s called Berliner.

- You can say Berlinican, Berlinese, or Berlinish. - You won’t be right but you can say them.
- People from Berlin call themselves Berliners, nobody thinks they mean the donut.

- What was he trying to say?
