Give it a try and update the post. If I was a betting man I’d bet it won’t work.

I played around with u/mttw_ edited build.yml and, added an additional update.yml
With these two workflows you should be able to clone SMP and build your own Windows and Mac versions by just running the build.yml action. Takes about 30 minutes to build.
**build.yml ** was changed so that it is run manually. I also adjusted how the attach job worked (as it was just being skipped). Now when build is finished it should attach them all as a new release in your repo. **You will need to edit this file with notepad and add your account name and repo name. **
**update.yml ** is just so that you can have your repo automatically update to the original SMP repo. It is set to check once a day. This is so when you run build.yml it is build the latest version.
Don’t really want to link to my specific repo so I have put the yml files on fileroy

This is silly. You are either going to get in trouble or it simply won’t work. Most airports are going to force you to do facial recognition anyway when you go to show them your ID.
If your fingerprints don’t show up well enough they just won’t pass you for precheck. You don’t get to falsely claim its a condition and they go “oh OK”.
Audit providers just like VPN providers come in a wide variety of quality.
Its hard to point out specifics of what makes a good audit as most people don’t, and have no need to, understand the technical details of the audit and just go off its summary.
Another difficulty is just like most VPN providers, there just isn’t much info provided about Auditors or the auditing process.
A few have well known reputations…
KPMG is a low quality provider. Any auditing company that provides an “always-on” service is not being serious.
Cure53 is a high quality provider.
They lost me at calling ExpressVPN the gold standard. Even their audit is bs. KPMG is the same company that provides the “always-on” audit to PureVPN.
Any article that still uses the “eyes” as a factor in their evaluation is a massive red flag. Very public intelligence alliances are the least of your worries.
Fair enough. I’m cheap so I’d quibble over the extra $2/month 😂
Cloned the repo and ran the actions. Works like a charm. Setup a Kofi I’d much rather give you $5
Note: github will not let you build arm64 as a private repo
Yeah that’s kind of what I figured but not sure why a customer would just choose the more expensive option.
I was wondering when that repo showed up and all of a sudden there were 50k downloads of the windows version if this might happen.
The coderberg fork was linked directly to the main strawberry page where the source code is and it’s pretty obvious the downloads were just the same as any subscriber executables.
I highly doubt the story that the person behind the fork was given binaries for testing. My guess is it was just a subscriber sharing their downloaded executables.
The whole malware argument the creator made is fear mongering.
Its odd he charges $7/month for subscribers on Patreon but its only $5 if you pay via Kofi.
I personally handle my firewall via openwrt (firmware) on my router but a lot of people like software solutions for the OS such as Safing Portmaster (Windows / Linux) or Little Snitch (macOS)
There are also hardware solutions but buying a specific device for this use case is probably something you should work your way into if you decide a software solution doesn’t cut it.
I think they basically are signalling they are not interested in month to month customers

People don’t talk about it enough but a firewall is a great solution for clamping down on what data leaves your computer.
I don’t think people could have predicted how big of a need privacy and security would be on the internet or that the western world would so quickly embrace fascism / authoritarianism after barely a generation has past since WWII
Great project with seemingly no business plan to make it viable. I still hope it all works out. That $16k anonymous XMR donation was sure to help.
Awful take
You can just use the manual search tool on nvidia to find your driver. My understanding is the 9 & 10 series support is going to end soon.
https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/
When you run the installer you have a choice to install their app or not.
This seems like it can be easily avoided by just downloading the drivers without using the nvidia app.
You can have a drivers license and a state Id. You just can’t have 2 real id compliant cards.
There a few states that don’t allow you to have multiple state issued credentials (Indiana, Illinois).
Usually you are not allowed to have multiple IDs from multiple states.
Given those limitations I’m not sure I see value in having both.
In my state you really don’t have a choice. They do not issue regular IDs anymore.
Considering what’s going on with Calyx these days I’m not sure I’d trust them either.
