I also recently read Hyperion and haven’t continued the series and I agree with everything you said! Neat world, but kinda underwhelming overall. Having seen some of the comments here, i def think i should give book 2 a try.

I’ve watched this episode twice and I’m about to watch it a third time since you reminded me about it
