I didn’t, for me it was “Ai, Bee, See, Dee, Eee, Eff, Jee” (except in my local language Danish). My children all learnt phonics in their U.K. school and it’s taught them to read 5x faster I’d say).

Wtf, this is literally the opposite of true. PTX is nvidia only.
For most sites it’s a testing matrix issue. Most testing teams look at browser stats and choose how to apply their limited resources based on that. So the dev probably doesn’t even see the bug that exists for an old Firefox version as there’s no testing done on it.
I mean it is just so so dumb. Have people really got that short term memory that no one remembers who pushed for this in the first place?!
A lawyer’s opinion does not constitute a legal ruling.
What about those of us who never joined?
Lol, they did you a favour. It’s the only instance I ban.
Do you ever wonder why most Europeans has about 40 telecom companies offering you internet at your particular address? Regulation and anti-monopoly works.
The “now the tech is done can we rationalise the dev team?” fallacy just drives me up the wall. Mostly because I’ve actually worked in environments where those questions were seriously pondered and had to defend against it.
The best part is when some dufus goes “I’ve got a great idea and the grit to see it through. I just need to hire a tech person to do it for me”.
Why do you think the mega rich are so keen to invest in robotics? With AI and robotics, there is no palace guard that’ll turn sides when everyone’s had enough.
The Wall and American Idiot always springs to mind when I think of story albums.
In a world where the governance of AI was adequate and the spoils it created redistributed to benefit all (and thus thoroughly look after those who lost their job from AI replacement) I would LOVE AI to be created.
In a world where either or both of those aren’t properly in place, I’d sooner be without it.
By extension I’m saying the US is pretty much the worst place for AI to be invented.
Oops, how embarrassing. I stand corrected and tip my hat.
“Web printing”. Basically the printer connects to Google, the laptop connects to Google and your printing goes via Google. Why not give your advertisement profiler everything you print too?
No that’s not right.
One’s my server, another one is my HTPC and another one is my OPNSense router. My house has got hidden mini PCs everywhere.
Do you have a source for this claim? I’d like to repeat it elsewhere…
A narrowed focus is exactly what Mozilla needs.
Develop a browser and participate in web standards. That’s literally all they need and should do.
They can. But maintaining a modern browser engine is a MAJOR piece of work especially when there’s already another open source browser (Chromium) that is sucking in maintainers.
Firefox is dying. I’ve been a loyal user since Phoenix days but there is just no road forward. Many websites now don’t test for it. It’s in a slow death spiral. Such a shame.
I mean who the fuck would buy a Tesla in their right mind these days?! It’s impossible to look past the nazi leading it.
