Hi, I’m sbird! I like to make all sorts of things!

okay, I’ve added supertelephoto lenses to my list, once I get back to my computer I’ll push the changes!
This list originally was intended for myself when I first created it, but it slowly grew and I decided to show it off to the public because I thought it could be helpful.
Most of my “picks” are sourced from online reviews and forums. I would definitely not use this list as the sole source of a purchase, you shouldn’t do that with any source and it’s better to look at other reviews as well.
Yes, I should probably include some wildlife photography lenses in there. What are some good options? Also yeah you’re right, a lot of my picks are probably biased towards my own preferences, and I should really mention that, probably at the top.
Thanks so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
oh that’s sad. I mostly switched out of proton bc I didn’t want to put all my eggs in one basket. Also, not having IMAP sucksss because both the official proton and tuta apps are SLOW
also, check out some of the firefox forks. I personally really like Floorp since it lets me put the tab bar at the bottom and customise the UI! Librewolf is also decent but some of its privacy anti-fingerprinting stuff makes it a bit annoying to use
onlyoffice is also a pretty good option for ms office compatibility
i think he wants a rec for a linux distro
gmail -> proton or tuta if you don’t care about IMAP, or any other decent email provider (I use disroot, I set my brother up with mailfence, they both seem quite good. I use them with thunderbird) pycharm -> not an IDE, but I like VSCodium (vscode without MS)
fluent reader is good!
woah that’s a lot!
that looks pretty cool
yeah they do have the option to redirect fandom links :D
redirects links to alternative clients/frontends. for example, redirecting youtube links to go to invidious, piped, freetube, etc.
yk, fair enough. if you like it, that’s fine by me
yep, the app is SLOW
I’ve tried tuta before. It seems pretty okay, but it doesn’t support IMAP meaning you have to use their app, and (at least for me) it was SLOW.
I personally use disroot, but there’s loads of other options, like mailfence seems like a decent alternative. Just pick one that supports IMAP
for me:
good to be here! honestly the third-party app thing swayed me, there’s so many good apps (ice cubes, mastoot, mlem, impressia, etc.)
oh and also I should definitely include links to awesome-selfhosted and other similar github repos, that would definitely be good too.
clothes, more is better.
