We have a similar one here in the US. People think if you go outside when it’s too cold, you’ll get sick.

Most activity, I’ve seen here: !amateurradio@lemmy.ko4abp.com but there’s a lemmy bug that’s not showing a bunch of posts. That should be resolved soon.
These are good cheaper radios (The price has gone up a bit)
They are fine for starting out with, but you’ll probably want to upgrade soon. There are better radios for around $75 if you can afford it.
Ham radio! It’s relaxing. My favorite activity is to take my portable gear to parks and operate Parks on the Air.
I was on the fence about it until the Spez AMA. Then, I decided I’d be leaving on the 30th.
Then, I had a user call me “fucking stupid” for supporting a sub shutting down, and that was the final straw for me. I had seen how friendly people on Lemmy are and this showed me how toxic Reddit is by comparison. So I immediately nuked all my comments & posts and deleted my account. This was around two weeks ago and I’ve been much happier here.

Yea I’m considering using it for the two communities I’ve created. But I’m afraid people won’t like it.
For one year, my parents put me in a christian school. I learned how evolution was wrong in practically every “science” class.
One has, but there are no posts yet I’ve created another, created a post and am waiting to see if others move over. I plan on giving up modship ASAP because I’m not built for that. Yet another has and there’s a bit of activity.
You should check out Ham Radio Crash Cpurse on YouTube. Lots of great info there.
