I was under the impression that once carbon passed about 400ppm in atmosphere then climate change was irreversible. Which it reached a few years ago.
It’s a greenhouse gas so it lowers the rate at which heat escapes.
We would have to start actively capturing carbon for global cooling to occur.
Not just turbocharge clean energy. We could use 100% solar today and the planet would still get warmer
