gas cars generaly, from what I’ve been told, don’t use said gas while beeing shut off to keep the car in operational condition. But maybe yours is different.
from what I understand from the article the problem is that people are queuing and because of long waiting times batteries die.

It’s pretty funny seeing the discrepancy between this thread beeing overall positive of ai replacing jobs, and the other one where google is letting people off and commenters are pissed about it.
people have a hard time admitting that their job today might be obsolete tomorrow, I believe this is already happening and it’s going to get much, much worse. If you’re not adaptable you’ll have a very hard time in the future.
Kai-Fu Lee has a pretty interesting idea of how this will all end up - a couple of large corporations directly paying people’s unemployement to prevent riots.
