  • The kickback is also in saying that they donated the money to charity … which was collected from other people

It’s like I asked you to donate money to a charity and I said I had to be the one to collect it … then I take your money and donate it in my name … basically, I took your generosity and claimed it as my own.

In many cases company’s also understand that they can’t openly do this because it would be too obvious … instead they just ride the generosity gravy train … they encourage people to donate to charities through their store/company/business … then the company may or may not give their own contributions but they get to attach their name to the donated amounts.

It’s like a billionaire selling you a can a beans and then asking you to donate a penny to a charity … I always say no because the idiot billionaire could spare 1% of their wealth and give millions of dollars to charities everywhere, why the hell are you asking me?

I never give to charities through a store/company or business … I give directly to charities on my own.

  • Probably more than will ever be known.

One of the creepiest kinds of murders that I’ve read about or watched on TV shows was the random murder. A murder where a killer just randomly kills someone in a random part of the country for no reason. The murderer just goes into a town or city they’ve never been to before, commits a murder, leaves and never returns. The murderer can leave traces and clues but none if would be connected to anyone or anything in the area … no motive, no reason, no connection, no witnesses, no nothing … just a murderer who kills someone for no reason and disappears … and is capable of doing it again and again without ever being discovered.

    Fascinating and frightening.

  • I really don’t care anymore … when a new movie is announced, I really don’t care to do anything special to go out and see it. I just forget about it and wait a year or two and watch it as a stream on one of the services I already pay for.

It usually works out. If the movie was crap, everyone will tell me, I’ll read about it or see low review scores for and just never bother watching it ever … or it’s released on Netflix, Disney or Amazon and I watch it there a year or two later.

If it has great reviews and not available anywhere, then I just wait a year and rent it for $5 and watch it at home.

There’s more than enough content to last a lifetime, I’m not spending any more money to watch the latest greatest movie as soon as it comes out.

  • ahhhhh … I really don’t care any more … I’m nice and respectful and open to everyone … I accept everyone no matter race, gender, identity, nationality, background, religion (or non religion) and I do my best to respect everyone for who they are … beyond that, if people give me a hard time to be around them just to give me a hard time or show authority or try to be above me or control me - I really don’t want to be around you.

  • That’s hilarious because I was the same. I was never able to afford the latest computers, laptops or electronics… so I spent a lot of time maxing out every device, learning to download software, massive (10 MB) updates on a dialup connection, learning to use cracked software, then graduating to Linux and open source software … I’ve tried the freezing hard drives to rescue them but never tried baking my mainboard!

  • It’s not ‘useless’ knowledge … if learning about the wider universe outside our small planet makes you realize what your place in this reality is, then I really don’t think it is useless, rather it is critically important because it makes our small insignificant existence in this vast universe far more special and humbling to the point where we look and see everything and everyone around us as so miraculous that we should do everything we can to enjoy this time that we have together in peace, love and harmony. It makes you realize its all we have and all we’ll ever be.

    Definitely not useless knowledge.

Keeping looking at the stars, I’m watching the same sky as you.
