Lol, that was funny! I know I’m being pedantic. I usually make those observations just to scratch an itch. The itch was a bit stronger than usual with this one because it’s a journalistic video. That’s all.

The video has a typo. It uses “it’s” instead of “its”.
I don’t know, man. To me that’s still speculation. But did say you were guessing, so that’s okay. I just thought that you had a clear indicator of mental issues.
It could very well be that someone started stalking him, or sending him death threats, and he simply said “yeah, fuck this.”
Or that he started the project to get some groupie ass, then got ass, then he was done with it all.
Or he got bored and moved on to the next interesting thing.
Why are you guessing the mental issues part? Has the admin given any indications of that in the past?
Because, it sounds to me, that if he was running a free service on his free time because he felt like it, then he doesn’t owe anybody anything. He can simply vanish for the simple reason that he got bored, and that should be enough.
I got that one too. Either a way to test if users are paying attention or, or… I don’t know. Mistranslation? It was a bullshit option. Insulting, even.
Yeah, what kind of bullshit survey format was that? I guess that format has its uses, but the way Mozilla is using it here is awful, awful, awful. I didn’t finish it. What happened to the 1 to 5 stars, points or whatevs?
A looser fit than other here but still a great headline. Reflects the state of corporatism IMO.
Actually, this doesn’t fit here at all!
Why can’t it be horrifying and amazing?
I know, right?
When the whole AI generated art was sort of like a novelty a year ago, that’s exactly what I thought.
“Fuck. A lot of cool-looking things will be cheapened or devalued because they’ll be generated, not created.”
And sure, sure, there’s art in coming up with a nice prompt. I guess there’s art in coming up with tax exemptions too.
Wait. Isn’t this a Firefox extension that a lot of people like? Not me specifically, but I’m surprised by your comment having a lot of upvotes.
Edit: ah, it’s not upvotes, it’s downvotes lol!
You’re not wrong, but it’s not completely toast yet.
You’re right in that I might consider alternatives soon, though.
I did it with Phoenix back in the Communicator days (which eventually became Firefox.)
Ok, sure. But this is common knowledge. Private browsing is about not leaving trace on the local machine. It was never about remaining anonymous on the internet.
I thought you were referring to the browser sending browsing history to Google somehow.
Wait… private tabs sends info to Google? How? Do you mean by clicking analytics links?
Ha, cool! It’s been a while since I saw that movie.
Man, 1998?! Time flies.
What’s this in reference to?
I’d be interested in this too.
Fuck off with u.s. politics where it doesn’t belong.
