21·9 months agoNot really… How can it be mysogynistic if there is no difference among genders/sex? There is for “pussy”, because it only exists for the female organ, but not in this case. It may be tasteless in your opinion, but if the fact that it’s the female or the male organ doesn’t change the meaning, it is, by definition, not mysogynistic/sexist.

15·9 months agoI disagree, because it means the same as calling them “dick”
It’s actually pretty unbelievable. I’ve met people who look aloke before, but this is pretty astonishing. I’m not familiar with either of them, but IIRC one of them is a singer IRL today and the other was an actress that acted like she was a singer, so I guess coincidences do happen…

Technology@lemmy.world•Crypto mogul Do Kwon, known as ‘the cryptocurrency king,’ pleads guilty to fraud chargesEnglish
21·11 months agoThat’s some pretty big (rude) talk for someone who isn’t willing to back their opinions with any sort of argument. Saying things like “Your idea is idiotic”, “You don’t understand what you’re talking about”, “You are just making shit up” but then proceeding to say “Because of what I mentioned, I won’t go into an in-depth discussion around how you would be tracked” is a pretty cowardly stance in my opinion. “I will discredit your arguments with ridicule and no counter points”.
I for one do see the value in privacy protecting crypto currencies. I concede that they are not a viable option for utilitarian and common practices since the use of crypto is not common and does require specific know-how. However, they do have their usecases. Whistleblowers, for example. Regarding the second point you made: I guess you are implying the main vulnerability is the humans involved in the transaction. If that is the case, the responsibility on handling the transactions anonymously falls onto the interested party i.e. the one who is interested in keeping the transaction anonymous will also need to devise a scenario that is compatible with anonymity.
On the other hand, if anonymity isn’t imperative and the users just want a more privacy friendly solution to payment transactions, I think it also makes sense. You can prefer the banks not monitoring everything you do but also not need to live in anonymity and accept the fact that, if interested, the governing entities will most likely have the means to track down your transactions. But that is most likely only going to affect criminals, not privacy conscious citizens.

11·1 year agoI agree it’s full of stereotypes and bad jokes, but it’s a show that’s easy to watch and that doesn’t require concentration. I am a Physicist and an Engineer myself, very much a geek and generally considered to have a very twisted sense of humor, but I still enjoy watching this show, generally while doing other things on the side.

Try Paralino! It’s a family location sharing app but is end-to-end encrypted :)
I don’t know, I have been using them for more than a year and am SUPER happy. I use their mail, their kDrive sync and calendar/tasks and have had nearly no problems. And when I have had a problem, I have gotten very fast email support, and they even pushed an update when I let them know there was a problem with the keychain acquisition on KDE. Honestly, it’s the best experience I have had ever with any cloud provider. I even have WebDAV support!
Not really! You can find the source code for almost everything in their github (I say almost because I haven’t checked if everything is in there, but I know the clients are because I’ve looked them up). Besides, aside from offering extremely competitive prices, they are privacy friendly (don’t offer end-to-end, but you can read their privacy policy) and use a very ethical infraestructure. I seriously recommend you check infomaniak up; I have been using them for 2 years and couldn’t be happier.
