My issue is that OP is not providing any solid proof. They are just giving 'wink wink’s about some ‘popular’ instances doing it. When asked whether they have proof, OP says they has proof of some mods doing it. Mods don’t handle instances, admins do. They haven’t yet provided any concrete proof, yet creating an impression that some instances are banning en masse using LLMs based on “political ideology”.

If you’re not going to name them, why post here at all? Don’t you have other communication channels to “give them a fair chance to reply”? Why post here, letting users form their own assumptions about what those instances are without any solid evidence?

I started reading it a few days back. I am still struggling to read it. This guy Winston, thinks so highly of himself, and so lowly of others. He calls his neighbours stupid, them being transferred to a department requiring “less intelligence”, while not being able to string a proper sentence himself when writing. Also his violent fantasies when he first sees Julia. I don’t know whether I’ll be able to continue the story or not. As just a novel, it is so off-putting. Aren’t lead characters supposed to be relatable?

Mostly their critique, as you said, is just plain insulting. Often it is not to an ideology or a system, but a person or people. Like the person above just insulted not the US, not capitalism, not western imperialism, but Trump, a single person. What is even the point?
