Genius! … I’m not getting them.
Yes, please.

Genius! … I’m not getting them.

Wait. What did I miss ?

Yeah it’s definitely not an elegant solution, but it works for now. But I think I will fix it properly at some point, now that I know what the problem is.

You were absolutely correct. It was the ribbon cable. But the fault was so small I couldn’t see it with my aging eyes. But under magnification it was quite clear.

I am also coming to that conclusion. Which sucks because I have to take out the screen to replace it.
And yes. I’m sure I bought the right one :) I didn’t mention it in the original post, but I was aware of the different models and revisions.

Yes the speakers still work. And I can change the volume both in Big Picture mode and Desktop mode with the slider.
I don’t really know what to do in alsamixer to test/change volume input.
xev also doesn’t give any output when pressing the volume buttons.

I’m not sure you need a password to access the shared libraries. Then basically all programs would need a password to run.
Personally I don’t like flatpaks because of the duplication of libraries. But you should do whatever you feel like. Both have merit.

Please, tell me more about this Arrow Block.
This is basically the argument of Edward Said in ‘Orientalism’. He makes a good argument, so it is worth a read: https://www.jstor.org/stable/42981698
I don’t think he wanted to kill the West though. But maybe the idea of the West.

This is the most useful comment I read in a long time.

Mainly groceries. Games I almost exclusively buy second hand and media I… find…

Stick to it! I know it seems overwhelming in the beginning, but you will get used to it at first and then get better with time.

Nah, you can just sudo umount /path/to/device and then remove it. No need to power off the pi.

Out of curiosity what did you install ? And what did you install it on ?
Hey, that’s me! Except I’m not a social democrat, I just read Lemmy Marx quotes.
