The motivations of kids are generally pretty obvious - most parents know exactly what it is their kids are wanting to do. And kids will work to accomplish that motivation despite what roadblocks the parents put in place, and at somepoint they will figure out a strategy to remain undetected.
Parents don’t really get a vote WRT their kids having sex or doing drugs. They get _some influence over the details of how those occur, if they show they can be trusted to not freak out.
The only thing keeping me sane is the knowledge that for the last several decades, Congress only voted for whatever they were bribed to vote for anyways. They’ve never voted one way or the other because they “understood” the subject matter.
They acted corruptly before, they’re acting corruptly now. Nothing has changed.
IMO this is over the line. Not grotesque per se but just, comical. It’s not appealing.
