I mean it’s gotta be extra sour right? At least then it kinda goes with the fruit themes I associate with jello, heck it might even be pretty good…? Maybe I should go make extra sour jello.

Uhhhhhh… serious question here, is it not…?
Well, yeah. Most people would much rather spend their time and energy taking care of their children than laboring away for someone else’s profit. They may not phrase it like that, but raising children is far more self-fulfilling than working a job could ever be for most people. I imagine in most cases, people prefer tons of hard work raising a child when compared to working the easy cozy job, because at the end of the day the job is just a means to an end.
Ok that’s true, but flaming hot and extra sour are both delicious, Jello is just kinda… Meh.
I was kinda hoping I’d read the article and it would be a modern day “a modest proposal” but it doesn’t seem to be and now I’m sad.
i hope so, alexandrite is what I’ve used for awhile now and I quite love it.
I’ve never heard that before, and doing some very light research, it does seem like “Spade” is a slur from the 1920s. At the same time however, the phrase “Calling a spade a spade.” is a “modern” (1500’s) adaption of an ancient Greek phrase.
The easy solution here is to just re-adapt it so it doesn’t use a racist term. To keep the theming of shovels of course, the easiest answer is “Calling a shovel a shovel.”
Thanks for the info, always good to learn a new thing or two :)
they’re basically tiny mouse traps so when you grab the gum it snaps on your fingers and causes a little sting.
Sorry I was making a reference to tiktok brainrot featuring the show invincible.
this is good news! we can be bees!
I hate these because its impossible to remember people unless they had some super cool thing. my usual go to is “I’m Nora and I can scuba dive.” which is cool and fine, but I could talk about that, and its so much more interesting and useful to find what people enjoy about their things.
as an example, you said you like reading! I enjoy a good book too! what are some of your favorite books and genres? do you have a Lemmy community you go to for book stuff? Tell me about a book you hate!
theres so many questions people could ask, but never do, so everyone becomes horribly forgettable.
yeah that’s how its said
Even better, be wrong about something.
I am considering this encouragement to follow my dreams even if it kills me ;)
I would, without a doubt in my mind, attempt to be friends with a wild cheetah if I saw one. zero self preservation.
Firstly, that guy looks like a fuckin idiot eating pizza like that. Second, the ninth circle is frozen over in Dante’s bible fanfic, so idk maybe by that logic this is the right pepper order?
to be honest I really didn’t mean to trick you into answering but your edit made me burst out laughing. Good thing i don’t operate on Fae rules, cause I think you’d owe me a soda or something.
