Lenin’s point in What Is To Be Done? was that there is no middle ground between revolutionary socialism and liberalism! Any de-emphasis of Marxist theory strengthens bourgeois ideology by default. What makes this dangerous is that the party, functionally, absorbs the energy of dedicated, loyal people who want to be revolutionaries and channels it into work that never actually threatens power, abandoning the necessary and patient work of developing leadership prepared to support the working class in times of crisis.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Would it be considered trespassing when my psycho landlord closes my bedroom window from the outside?
1·29 days agoNot everywhere offers that either. That’s the pitfalls of asking online. One may get hundreds of replies that aren’t helpful, to get one or a few that are. A lot of times I got zero useful replies in and of themselves, but useful in that they gave me another actionable idea.

Nazi.world will probably pull this unless you post it to progressive politics. Not that anyone with the attention span of gnats will watch it, just saying.
The entire video, including q&a is extremely important. Thanks for sharing.

Science@lemmy.ml•Chinese researchers treat rare disease via new RNA editing technology
10·2 months agoUnlike traditional approaches, this new technology does not require delivery of exogenous editing enzymes. Using only a segment of engineered RNA molecules, it can mobilize key enzymes that naturally exist in human cells to achieve precise editing of target RNA. The system is simple with high safety, imposing minimal delivery burden.
The team has collaborated with Kunming University of Science and Technology in Southwest China, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in East China and other institutions to develop candidate drugs. Three pediatric patients who had received treatment all demonstrated significant and sustained improvements in motor function during the one-year follow-up period.
