Thanks for posting this! Being male and being abused is a very isolating experience on many levels. I wish good things upon you, friend.

I guess I’m kind of confused as to the debate between Bleeding Edge vs Stable. I get the concept on paper, but what packages are so imperative that you need a Distro that is “Bleeding Edge”. I run Pop_OS and it works great on my hardware(System76 so it kind of has the home field advantage). I have an old laptop running LMDE that doesn’t ever need rebooted and it has every package I need for it to accomplish its job.

Others have given better advice than I will, but maybe determine why you need something that’s bleeding edge. If the only answer is “Cuz Shiny new stuff!” I don’t think it’s needed that bad and tailor your setup for stability and functionality. I prefer Just Works Distros though. VM’s are also a thing if you want to do some Distro Hopping

Tyr is really good and similar to Brothers of Metal. Check out Hold the Heathen Hammer High. If you want heavier, I’d recommend Amon Amarth or Ensiferum. The songs Axe of Judgement, One Man Army, or Twilight of the Thunder God get my blood pumping something fierce

Small story. I’ve done more than my fair share of shrooms in my day. My guy stopped growing them and raised turtles instead, but that’s not the point. I found a new person to acquire them from and being an “expert” psychonaut, I took about the same amount as always(4g) expecting a pretty moderate trip. Turns out the new guy knows how to grow some spicy Bois and I couldn’t handle 4g of them. I’m not advocating for drug use, but if you plan on taking shrooms, remember that every bag is different and I am a huge proponent of taking a micro dose of any new batch before going for a macro dose. Dip your toes in before diving head first Anyway, this meme is literally me. Gave me a giggle
