sorry for the very late response (it’s better late than never, isn’t it?), but Xiaomi has its bootloader unlocking service active. I used it last year to unlock my phone.
Here you can get the official mi unlock program (it works on hyperos): https://en.miui.com/unlock/index.html
And here is a guide to unlock the bootloader: https://miuirom.org/updates/xiaomi-bootloader
(don’t do the usb debugging part, I don’t know if it is necessary on older devices but on every xiaomi device that I had you don’t need to enable usb debugging so mi unlock can communicate with fastboot)
edit: spacing.
edit 2: please don’t do the bootloader lock via direct fastboot command as stated in the guide, I strongly recommend that you do a clean flash of stock rom with mi flash tool, if you plan to lock the bootloader later.

If you don’t like the bloatware… unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom! Luckily Xiaomi allows you to unlock the bootloader if you have a global variant.

Oh jeez, enshittification is so fast with today’s companies…
Or better yet, use tiktok in your web browser. It has far fewer permissions and access to your system because of the browser sandbox and how the web is built.
That’s why companies constantly push users to download the app while using the web app, because they can track users more effectively (Android’s sandbox is shit and allows apps to fingerprint users very easily).
Shouldn’t this post have a NSFW flag? Because of the torture…
I like this community but mods truly don’t do anything about enforcing nsfw flags.

The trackers detected are:
You can inspect them in App Manager if you have root, and disable the specific activities and providers from the app if you care about this.

Wow, I thought it was the opposite! That the majority of users are on Linux.
Or maybe it is the case, because the stats have a very limited dataset.

Mullvad Browser for the win!
I save a copy on my PC regularly (because I use keepassdx primarily, an android-only client), and I upload it to signal. Yes, I use signal as cloud storage, and it works really well! I have peace of mind that the file is encrypted using top-notch encryption, and only accessible by my linked devices.
