If you think 15 million people, or even a majority of them, who are largely, older, white, men, did it to protest gaza, I got news for you. All of these comedians who whine about not being able to say things, and being so brave to go ahead with their bigoted material, all just wish they were Lenny Bruce. Lenny was funny, said the truth, and while some stuff wouldn’t fly today, he was very progressive for the 50’s, and early 60s. He literally had police camp out his shows to arrest him as soon as he started saying something they didn’t like. He was actually getting beat-up by police, expelled from countries, and making land mark civil rights law, because of his routines.

I have done this. I have told them not to post me shit from channels, and topics, over, and over. Best it seems it can go is like 2 months. When I tried deleting my history, and turning it off, it got SO MUCH WORSE. Even making a new account was orders of magnitude worse. As sad as it is, I am actually getting a better result… I have long been at the point where I do not click on things I am not familiar with, or without suggestion from a trusted source. So I just don’t look at recommended anymore. Just look for the indicator of new stuff from my subs, or look at things I specifically search for.

I have spent decades listening to these people wish just as awful shit on me. I have also watched decades of being the bigger person not work. Maybe there will be no lesson learned without suffering the consequences of their actions, that they wish upon others.

It killed the US middle class, or better, was one of the bigger factors in doing so. The American middle class was strongest post war until the late 70s. That was when our economic policies shifted to off-shoring as much labor as possible, and when the Chinese special economic zone polices were started, in cooperation with the US. The loss of manufacturing jobs in the following decades gutted the US middle class.
There are people in poverty who support trump, for example, I have a neighbor who does, and even when I point out to him, the GOP, are trying to prevent him from getting their insulin, he just said “that isn’t true”. So I showed him it in writing, from a GOP source, and he said “well, they will come up with some other way, for people like me, to get their insulin”. I bet this happens, because democrats block everything until there is some way for this to happen, and then he thanks Trump. Because things like this happened under Trump, repeatedly.
However, most of the people I know with disabilities, chronic medical issues, are minority groups, have a lot of people who were pushing for Harris, because the GOP was literally running on a platform aim directly at ruining their lives. These people range in beliefs, they aren’t all left wing, but they aren’t stupid enough to vote their lives away. While most of the people I know, who support trump, are middle classed, trades/white collar people with decent salaries, and wealthier people. In my poor city, in my neighborhood which has a large project housing development, is deep blue. When you get out into the suburbs, with their McMansions, is where you start seeing the Trump signs. Most of the poorer people I see who, support Trump, are in rural areas, and being in the rural areas has a lot to do with why they stay poor. Recently though, a lot of the blue collar guys, in this region, got hit with a loss in compensation due to their manufacturing companies preparing for the onset of the Trump tariffs. They are mad, but I don’t know if they are mad at Trump/GOP, or they are going to blame democrats/immigrants/etc., like they did when a car manufacturing plant here closed, after Trump promised a subsidy to keep it open, then didn’t do that.
I live in the SW PA, SE OH, N WV, Appalachian region, many people are poor here. Like some of the poorest people in the US. Parts of WV are literally seeing third world conditions.

I like how you put the comfortable middle class as those pushing for Harris vs not voting. Not a single person, I know, pushing that initiative is doing it because they are well-off middle class. They are all people in minority demographics, and people who are deeply struggling, that are seeing Trump threaten things they rely on to live. They just don’t happen to be reactionaries.
So lets turn this around, just because you are privileged enough to be able accept Trump, rather than vote for someone who sucks, but isn’t vowing to actively make everything you need to live, get scrapped, while already being in thread bare living situation, doesn’t mean the people who do, are just well-off middle class people.

Everything I see about the statistics of those who previously voted biden, then sat out harris, show the largest single demographic, by far, was older white men. You have anything to counter this? The gaza sentiment, while truly more popular than the powers that be wanted to propose, is a lot smaller, when leveled against the entirety of the non GOP voting population, than progressive venues, especially online ones, want to pretend.
As an example, not a single person in my mom’s big social circle, most of which are not GOP supports, has said one damned thing about the genocide in gaza, and they talk about political issues fairly frequently, even if it is just snipes at someone. Their age/race/economic demographics make the largest portion of those who voted. In the spaces my family live in, down south, people in the their 20s are talking about politics, but gaza isn’t much of a topic, and often when it is, they openly say things to show they need to worry about home, not gaza. The ones who differ are your classic WEIRDs. This same thing holds in a lot of the region I live in, the midatlantic/midwest appalachia region. These people lost her, or at least played a major part in losing her, the election in GA, and PA. They voted mostly based on how bad economic life is for them. They voted stupidly, and are now pissed that they made it worse, but it wasn’t gaza that they gave two fucks about. The one place gaza, likely, truly damaged the harris campaign was MI, because it is second only to India, in muslim population, outside of muslim majority countries.
