I desperately hope that AI makes drastically fewer mistakes in some roles than others, because most people do not report the error rates that I see in my areas of expertise. Lots of organizations have a “ooh scary Linux” server or two that they rely on, but failed to retain the talent needed to maintain it. If you’ve been running desktop Linux, and know some basic command line tools, you’re way ahead of most people they will interview for the role.
