People really hate hearing facts that disagree with their preconceived notions.
This is ignorant on so many levels.
There is a reason they don’t teach it.
They don’t want it to happen again.

I have, unfortunately your metaphor sucked and only served to further imply that those of the global south are somehow less worthwhile than US citizens.

Hell ain’t real.
Trying to equivocate the atrocities of the US military as being “not as bad” as what ICE is doing to US citizens is tacitly implying that those being oppressed in the global South by US military are less worthwhile than that of US citizens.
Legitimate, if you have not already and have access, see a doctor about ADHD. You sound a lot like me and this is what I was diagnosed with when I described these symptoms to a psychiatrist. I’m also autistic but these symptoms don’t sound like autism.
Yea, I see that thread too.
The society which we unfortunately exist within has been built for the sole intent of keeping people disconnected and distrustful of each other.
We let the ruling class destroy our communities and replace it with commodities.
And just to point out. Me and you are no better. Here we are, on the Internet bitching instead of talking with our communities. But here is the thing, I have tried talking with mine. Unfortunately, they are a bunch of MAGA troglodytes who blindly support this country and its current administration. So, here I am participating in a community that is at least somewhat like minded to distract myself from the fact I live in a community that would happily string me up for not falling in line.

Hey, Alexa…

Ah, induced demand. A cornerstone of capitalism.
And that effort was usually understood to be necessary and directly for our personal benefit. They still eventually revolted against the labor that was being forced upon them by rulers that wanted to exploit them and the systems that made their lives needlessly more difficult than it had to be.
Our lives might be easier, relatively, but the effort required for most of what we do is entirely arbitrary and obviously only there simply to make things harder for us so we can more easily be exploited.
There is a gigantic difference in the effect on our mental health between labor that is understood to be necessary and mindless toil or effort spent overcoming arbitrary barriers. There is so much wrong with our society and only recently have we had the science to understand just how detrimental it is to our mental well-being.
An open dialogue discussing the nuances of each other’s interpretations to come to a common ground? On my political memes sub?
What heresy is this?
So nice for the trash to take itself out. Go ahead and do me too, bootlicker.
Holy fucking misinformation.
Holy fuck dude. I didn’t ask for a book. Imagine getting lectured for saying a bad stereotype is bad.
No, they don’t. Israel prefers to just use regular ordinance for their genocide. The stereotype of “suicide bombers” is a specifically anti-Muslim trope.
Okay but, again, this post has nothing to do with Israel. You’re talking about a tangential issue to the one being discussed, which is harmful and denigrating western stereotypes of Muslims.
Yes, colloquially, many westerners use the term “arab” to actually mean Muslim and semitic people are, in fact, a lineage of Arabic people whose identity has been co-opted by British colonizers but, again, that is an issue separate from the issue being discussed.
It’s hilarious. The people making the memes are usually top tier but the comments are filled with clowns. It’s wild.
Man, this show was bonkers.
Not really “more so” just “more likely to become” as the minimum requirements are higher and thus easier to fail to meet.
