I was hoping it would crawl on legs like a Metal Gear.

What workers does Amazon NOT intimidate and monitor?

Did you testify against data centers though? Or did Amazon just harass you for the love of the game? They‘re known to do that.

Hidden debt? As in on top of all the obvious debt?

Interesting framing there. A setback for one party rather than a victory to the other. I know, I know. Negative headlines sell better but man the news landscape looks grim enough as is.

It almost looks like it‘s designed to fail. Probably all of those billionaires will be richer by the end of the year this tax comes into effect. Meanwhile the money raised from it won‘t be enough to solve all that many issues. It‘s not really supposed to but billionaires and their outlets will keep telling us how „taxing the rich was tried and failed!!!“ Mark my words.

precious arch user repository
I think you vastly overestimate the importance of AUR. A lot of Arch users had to say something about the incident and many of them didn‘t even use it. It‘s definitely nothing essential.
Also Arch users still don‘t give a fuck about Windows. This whole AUR debacle has little to do with what OP was actually getting at.

It‘s definitely not only faceless channels but people who just sit there and talk into a mic as well. And I wouldn‘t mind this as much if it actually hit react slop too but that genre is pretty much untouched by this algorithm. Probably because there‘s enough stuff happening in a react video, but I can only guess.
Anyway, you can add Youtube to the never ending list of things that got worse because of AI.

I had a bad feeling about the whole C64 brand when it got overhauled recently. It had vaporware startup written all over it. Guess my gut feeling was on point once again.

is a validation of the soaring interest in AI-assisted coding.
Sure, buddy. Whatever makes you feel better.

I genuinely had no idea what any of this was about until I saw the MEGA hat in the header there. Goodness gracious…
I worry users might say Siri is rude compared to other chat bots and they‘ll tweak it to be more manipulative.

I know you didn‘t notice the gorilla either when you tried to count how often the ball was thrown in that clip. We could never really trust our eyes and that‘s okay.

According to reports I’ve seen over the years the job market in China has been pretty disastrous for young college graduates for a while now. Contracts from foreign companies have been getting fewer and their domestic market isn‘t growing at a rate to negate this loss in work. China‘s wobbly housing market hasn‘t been doing great for some time either.
But of course AI adoption is blamed now instead like it is everywhere else. As if AI could replace all those jobs in manufacturing and construction.
And of course the arts and culture are being gutted first as they only enrich people‘s lives and you can‘t have that during a crisis apparently. They‘re always the first on the chopping block when old people at the top see performance dwindle. Now instead of having sophisticated, unemployed grads you will have uneducated, unemployed grads.

According to Switch 2 sales numbers, you are sadly the rare exception. Nintendo fans are gobbling up the stuff big N is churning out and asking for seconds.

I bet some employers love that shit. They are Microslop Teams‘ main customers. Making our life miserable is a feature.

My first thought exactly. Classic „CEO says…“ bullshit journalism as well.

Not surprising given they‘ve lowered the price again shortly after.
Just what everyone was begging for and no sci-fi author in history was warning about.
