JD Vance sought last week to use a military helicopter to ferry himself and his son across Washington for a golf lesson, one of a number of allegedly unusual travel requests that has left the Republican’s security detail “fed up,” MS Now reports.
The alleged travel plans aboard Marine Two were ultimately canceled due to weather, but Secret Service agents nonetheless discussed it among themselves unhappily, according to the outlet.
Past vice presidents have had Secret Service agents drive their children to activities, rather than use military hardware, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars per hour to operate.
The only reason he’s polling low numbers is because the unnecessary war in Iran is pushing gas prices up. If he hadn’t done that, I don’t believe he would be polling this low. Which means he fumbeled it. And the voters didn’t care until it cost them their wallet.

Iran exacerbated the issue, but the low polling goes back to the Anti-ICE actions in Minnesota.
People voted for two things in 2024: stronger immigration policy (not to be confused with rebranding the Gestapo, these are two distinctly different things) and affordability. Doesn’t help that Donald explicitly promised no more forever wars, but his massive unpopularity goes back to allowing ICE to run rampant in Minneapolis and elsewhere. Watching masked thugs chase down and tackle fifth graders pissed off voters on both teams.
