We had a family of cats, and the Mama Bear didn’t like to lay in a bed or on a blanket where another cat had lain. None of the others cared.
One night, my wife folded the towels right out of the hot dryer, and into a basket, and set it next to the coffee table. Mama Bear immediately climbed into the basket on top of that thick layer of fresh warm towels…and didn’t leave it for three days.
She was afraid that another cat would claim it (they didn’t care), so she would only leave it when no other cats were around, to use the litter box, or eat. Then she’d get right back in, and claim those towels.
