Depends on how low your standards are. When we survived to live another day it’s also pretty awesome!

My standards have sunk lower than I ever thought possible since 2024 ended. And yet I find myself struggling to find things going right to appreciate. How can I enjoy my life if I have to ask myself every day whether I am doing enough, whether I should be doing more, to stop populists and actual neonazis from establishing totalitarian regimes?

I’m sorry you feel that; I can understand pretty well. But still, you’re alive, and it’s worth celebrating. 🫂

Thank you. Actually, my own life is in order, I have nothing to complain about. But I don’t feel like celebrating or being optimistic when other people suffer. Or rather: when it seems that things are globally getting worse rather than improving, as it feels in the past years, for the first time in my life.
