  • To add on to this:

    • Krita (for art and what I want to use for learning art, it’s avalible for both Linux and Windows)

    • Inkscape (for vector making and also can be used as a better text tool than kritas built in text tool if you’re using it in a combined workflow, avalible on Windows and Linux)

    • Tahoma 2D (fork of OpenToonz, OpenToonz coming from Toonz which Studio Ghibli also uses. Used for 2D animation)

    • Qbitorrent (torrent application avalible on both Linux and Windows)

    • Gimp (Image editing program avalible on both Linux and Windows but in my personal opinion needs a UX rework)

Try Linux, I just recently installed fedora on dual boot

But be aware that it’s not all hunky-dory because I’m still figuring out how to get nvidia drivers working after trying solutions I found online and I’m still trying to figure out how to get hdr working in gnome and there’s also the fact that kde plasma keeps freezing after a short time so I’m stuck on gnome

Installation was fine though, I was scared I was going to fuck something up with dual boot

This portraits feel AI generated, there’s something off about them

My stance is on AI is that generative AI being used to do all the work and stealing jobs is wrong but it can still be used as a tool to help workers get their jobs done faster

  • I really dislike how you’re so comfortable recommending RMA’ing a board when the person hasn’t provided logs / data

Because that does nothing to solve the problem if it turns out that an RMA wasn’t needed

Tech troubleshooting is a process of ruling things out and reading through information to narrow down to a probable cause and implementing a fix too see if it fixes the issue

You have no information besides what they’ve already tried which is random things because they haven’t read log data or other information to help them figure out a cause

This is a bit of a grey area because there are some asshole companies and asshole employees

I’d recently had an experience with a racist aldi employee only bag checking my mother because we where not one of the white people in line and that same aldi employee happened to lie about bag checking the white people ahead that we visibly saw her not check

This happened in Australia, but we live in one of the towns in Queensland not known for progresiveness

I’m planning to move to Brisbane or Melbourne once I am able too just to get away from all of the non progressive people here in my hometown
