71·8 days agoMy company’s online product uses passkeys (I implemented it) more as a convenience method for login. 2FA is the base standard, and authenticated users can create a passkey for each device they want to use. Subsequent logins can then use the passkey or 2FA. Rather than having to dig out my phone, open the authenticator app, and put in the digits, I can simply use the fingerprint reader and I’m right in.
I’m pretty good at that and I don’t know why. I guess I just passively pay a lot of attention to car makes/models for some reason.

11·22 days agoI was about to say… I have a laptop that can go anywhere in the house, including the kitchen. It’s not tethered to any one location and can do all the things that fridge screen can do, and much more. Laptops also have ad blockers freely available.

It was just so boring. I only lasted like 5 hours before giving up. Such a shame.
